  • Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Services Hospitals Monday night on his personal doctor's  recommendation.
  • The PML-N leader's physician said his patient has 'critically low platelet count'.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's condition is under control and dengue test results have come negative.

In a press release, the accountability watchdog said that Nawaz's low platelet count could be because of the blood thinners, prescribed to him by his physician Dr Adnan Khan, local media reported. NAB further said that a team of doctors have been deputed to provide him round the clock medical facilities without fail.

The bureau further said that Sharif's doctor had spent three hours with the former PM on Monday.

The former PM was shifted to Services Hospital on Monday night after his condition 'deteriorated'. The bureau shifted Sharif to a hospital after his personal physician reported that his platelet count fell because of multiple pathologies.

The former PM was shifted to NAB’s Lahore building from Kot Lakhpat jail after he was arrested in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. Sharif was serving seven-year imprisonment in Al-Azizia case in Kot Lakhpat jail.
