Pak-Afghan trade: FCAA for resolving grievances of business community

The FCCA chief voiced concerns over inadequate facilities and staff deficiency on Afghan side and urged the Islamabad and Kabul to take pragmatic steps to facilitate business community, exporters, importers and customs clearing agents.

Sarhadi, who is also former senior vice president of Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meeting with Afghanistan ambassador in Pakistan, Shakirullah Atif Mashal Khan and others Afghan officials, said in a press release issued here on Sunday.

It said that the issues pertaining to impediments in way of Afghan Transit Trade, holding of empty trucks and containers at Khawar Maiden. Pakistan's step regarding opening of Torkham border across the clock and hurdles to mutual Pak-Afghan trade mutual were discussed during the meeting.
