Fire on Friday erupted in legal department of Sindh Secretariat, reducing the official documents and other valuables to ash, rescue services said. The legal department of the Sindh government situated at the second floor of the Sindh Secretariat.

Soon after the fire, the firefighters reached at the spot and managed to douse the blaze.

According to fire brigade department, the fire erupted at 7:30pm and doused at 8:30pm. No major damages were reported due to fire engulf, the fire department said.
