Prime Minister Imran Khan has showed his regret regarding international media covering the Hong Kong protests but ignoring the plight of eight million Kashmiris who are in dire human rights crisis in occupied Kashmir.

On Friday, the premier took to his official Twitter handle and wrote that it has been over two months since India annexed IoK and imposed a curfew in the region. He continued said that IoK has been in complete communication blackout and thousands including entire spectrum of political leadership plus children have been imprisoned.

The PM further said that he is puzzled by the international media who is continuing to give headline coverage to Hong Kong protests but is ignoring dire human rights crisis in occupied Kashmir. He added that IoK is an internationally recognised disputed territory illegally annexed by India with 900k troops imposing a siege on eight million Kashmiris.

"In IOJK 100k Kashmiris have been killed over 30 years fighting for their right to self determination as committed to them by the international community through United Nation Security Council resolutions," the PM added.
