On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,117. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.913 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 6,439.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.620 billion, followed by WTI Crude Oil PKR 899.199 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 298.769 million, Platinum PKR 296.691 million, NSDQ100 PKR 263.904 million, Silver PKR 152.930 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 130.085 million, DJ PKR 82.075 million, Palladium PKR 77.462 million, Natural Gas PKR 70.054 million, SP500 PKR 20.519 million and Copper PKR 1.607 million. In agriculture commodities 7 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 7.748 million was traded.
