In order to confront challenges posed by Islamphobia, Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia have decided to start an English channel to set the record straight about Islam.
Prime Minister Imran Khan took to his official Twitter handle to announce that he, along with Turkish President Recep Erodogan and Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad have decided to jointly start a television channel.
The PM said that through this channel, misperceptions which bring people together against Muslims would be corrected, adding that issue of blasphemy would also be properly contextualized. "Series and films would be produced on Muslim history to educate/inform our own people and the world; Muslims would be given a dedicated media presence," the premier added.

On Wednesday, the premier and Erdogan hosted a high-level roundtable meeting on countering hate speech. Both reiterated that hate speech was the worst crimes against humanity. "Marginalisation of any community leads to radicalisation," the PM said.
