An accountability court sent on Wednesday Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawazand to jail on judicial remand in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case.

The court has also sent Maryam's cousin Yousuf Abbas to jail. During the hearing heard by Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan, the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) requested for an extension in the physical remand of PML-N leader and her cousin.

However, the judge rejected the request and sent the duo on judicial remand.
