ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Member National Assembly (MNA) Syed Khursheed Shah has been arrested by NAB in assets beyond means case on Wednesday.

The joint raid was conducted by both National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi and Sukkur at his residence in Islamabad. PPP leader will be presented before Accountability Court in Sukkur.

Earlier today, the legislator excused himself from appearing before NAB.

“I am unable to appear before the investigation officer due to the National Assembly session,” Shah informed NAB Sukkur via letter. He asked the Bureau to provide another date for his appearance after the conclusion of the session.

NAB summoned the PPP leader for the interrogation after an inquiry opened against him over assets beyond means case worth over Rs500 billion. The investigation is being conducted since August 7.
