Saudi Arabia, UAE foreign ministers meet COAS General Bajwa

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and UAE FM Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan called on Thursday Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa during their official trip to Pakistan.

During their meeting, the Arab envoys and the COAS discussed matters of bilateral interest and the security situation of the region. The two leaders also assured the Army chief o their full support regarding the recent developments in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK)

They also appreciated Pakistan's role for peace and stability in the region, local media reported. The COAS said that Pakistan is proud of its special strategic and brotherly relationship with both Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

On Wednesday, the two visiting dignitaries also met Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and  Prime Minister Imran Khan. The visit of the two leaders comes amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India since the latter stripped of the special status granted to IoK.
