International boxing star Amir Khan has arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday (today) to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

The Pakistani-origin-British boxer will be visiting the Line of Control (LoC). Speaking to media at the New Islamabad International Airport, Khan said that he has come to express solidarity with the citizens of Indian occupied Kashmir and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

The boxer also announced to raise voice against the violations of the United Nations Charter and genocide of Kashmiris at the hands of the Indian government.

Amir further said that children are being killed in Indian occupied Kashmir, the children could not go to school, whereas people were being brutally tortured. "I would raise voice against these actions by India," he said.

The boxing star has been given the opportunity to visit the LoC by Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor.

The troubled region of Indian occupied Kashmir has been in a state of virtual lockdown for the past three weeks, after the Government of India scrapped the Article 370, ending the autonomous state of the Muslim-majority region.
