During the hearing, the judge was presented with the footage of Sanaullah’s arrest by the Anti Narcotics Force's (ANF) prosecutor, local media reported. The court has directed the ANF to submit the case records at the next hearing. ANF has also been directed to present Sanaullah before the court again on August 28.

On July 1, ANF arrested the PML-N leader from the Islamabad-Lahore motorway near the Sukheki area. According to ANF, drugs were recovered from Sanaullah's car. After his arrest, the former Punjab minister was sent on judicial remand.
