Kashmiri youth killed, 40 arrested as lock down enters 17th day in IoK

Another young man was killed by Indian forces in Baramulla town of Indian occupied Kashmir, as the curfew and lock down enters 17th consecutive day the region.

An all out operation was jointly carried out on Tuesday by Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group in Kakarhamam area of the town, Kashmir Media Service reported. During the operation the youth was killed. During the clash, an Indian police officer was also killed while a constable of Special Operation Group was injured in an attack in Baramula town.

Meanwhile, at least 40 people were arrested during house raids by Indian forces in different areas of Srinagar city. Since the abrogation of  Article 370 from India's constitution, more than 4,000 Kashmiris have been arrested by Indian authorities.

The Indian government has restored mobile and internet services for some areas in the region. Schools have also been opened, however, parents are too afraid to send their children.
