CINCINNATI: Novak Djokovic rolled over Sam Querrey 7-5, 6-1 on Tuesday to launch his defense of his ATP Cincinnati masters title.

The world number one was competing for the first time since winning Wimbledon with a victory over Roger Federer in the final at the All England Club last month.

After losing his opening serve, Djokovic quickly gained momentum pulling away to win in 77 minutes.

He beat Querrey for the ninth time in 11 meetings.
