Prime Minister Khan said that Pakistan will take the Kashmir issue to every global forum in light of recent developments. PM was speaking at the joint session of the parliament urgently convened to address India's revocation of special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir and removal of Article 370 from the Indian constitution.

“After coming to the power, our first priority was to address poverty in the country. We cannot attain stability without reaching to all our neighbours. As soon I realised that India was not interested in talking to us, they took our proposal for peace as weakness, so we stopped extending offers to hold talks, then Pulwama happened”, the Prime Minister told the parliament.

"They (BJP) do not consider Kashmiris as their equals. They will try to crush them which will lead to a reaction which can be a Pulwama like incident. They will blame us [Pakistan] for this. What BJP did in Kashmir is in accordance with their beliefs. They have a racist ideology," he affirmed. The Prime Minister compared the BJP with the Nazi ideology.

“We will fight this at every forum,” Khan said.

"This will be a war that no one will win and the implications will be global." The Prime Minister emphasised that he was not indulging in 'nuclear blackmail' but instead trying to inform the world about the seriousness of the matter.

Responding to opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif's criticism, Khan said, "What do you want me to do? Attack India immediately?" Khan held that Pakistan will explore all options including aggressive diplomacy to highlight the plight of Kashmiris to the world.
