KARACHI: The city police has chalked out alternate traffic plan as the joint opposition parties led by Pakistan People's Party are observing Thursday as 'Black Day' with holding a mammoth public gathering at the Bagh-e-Jinnah at 5 pm today.

The “Black Day” is being observed on the first anniversary of the 2018 general elections in which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had emerged as victorious.

Due to security reasons, road leading to the site of event are closed for traffic, therefore a traffic diversion plan has been issued by Traffic Police

The salient of which are as under:

As per the plan, traffic coming from Jamshed Road and Teen Hatti will diverted from Guru Mandir towards Soldier Bazar on Bahaduryar Jang Road and Jail Chowrangi.

Traffic coming from Shahra-e-Quaideen will diverted from Society Chowrangi towards Kashmir Road.

Traffic coming from Society Chowrangi will be diverted from Aisha Aziz Chowrangi towards Kashmir Road.

Traffic coming from University Road will diverted from Jail Chowrangi towards Shaheed-e-Millat Road.

Regal Chowrangi to New M. A Jinnah road will be closed for public. All traffic will be diverted from Saddar Dawakhana towards Lucky Star and Shahra-e-Faisal.

Employees, students and volunteers are advised to plan their movement accordingly, use alternate routes to commute and remain abreast with city situation through media.
