Pakistani cricket stars bid farewell to chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, after the batting legend announced that he would not seek a contract renewal and would step down from his post as Pakistan cricket chief selector on Wednesday.

Cricket stars send messages on social media, celebrating the time they spent with the Pakistani batting legend and his impact on their cricketing careers.

Pakistan's batting mainstay Babar Azam called Inzamam a 'cricket visionary' who helped the rising batsman achieve batting records.

“Thank you for serving Pakistan again Inzamam bhai - a cricket visionary and one of the best cricket brains beyond doubt. Your mentoring and trust in me helped me achieved many a miles. Good luck for your next journey!” tweeted Inzamam.

“To me Inzamam bhai is a great mentor and a selfless character. When I fell ill right before the world cup, he stood next to me, made sure that I remain in high spirits & refused to give up on me. Thank you Inzamam for your services to my country as chief selector” shared Shadab Khan.

“Thanks Inzamam bhai for serving Pakistan cricket and trusting many a youngsters like me. Pakistan cricket will remain in debt to you for your selfless services,” wrote bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf.
