TCP chairman calls on Sindh Governor

Talking to a delegation of Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) which called on him at the Governor House, Imran Ismail said that the same technology would be used to launch plantation campaign in the varsities and other educational institutions across the megalopolis, according to a statement.

The Governor said that Pakistan was among the countries affected due to the climate change.

Tree plantation was the only way out to tackle with the adverse affects of climatic changes.

Imran Ismail said that plantation would help eliminate environmental pollution besides keeping the environment healthy.

TCP Chairman Dr. Riaz Ahmed Memon who led the delegation briefed the Governor about running the campaign of Prime Minister's billion trees plantation through the seed ball technology.

He said that many countries across the globe were benefiting from the seed ball technology and he named Japan, Korea, US, Kenya and Bangladesh among them.

Dr. Riaz said that maximum benefits of seed ball technology could be achieved in the rainy season.

He said that assistance of federal government climate control department, Sindh government, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and universities was needed for ensuring the success of tree plantation campaign.

TCP chairman informed that as the manufacturing seed ball was easy and assistance of teachers, students of school, college, different communities and NGOs could prove to be fruitful.
