Imran Khan arrives in Karachi on a day-long visit

Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived on Wednesday in Karachi on a day-long official visit, where he will chair a meeting at Governor House regarding peace situation in the metropolis.

Different delegations including those relating to Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Auto Parts Association, Textile, leather, Pharma, Cement, Steel and Pakistan Stock Exchange will call on the PM.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail announced the PM's visit yesterday and wrote that the premier will be accompanied by his economic team. He wrote that a roadmap will also be discussed in detail with the prime minister. "Government is poised to increase business activities in Pakistan. Karachi being the hub of business has unique importance," the governor added.

The prime minister is accompanied by Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Minister for Water Resources Muhammad Faisal Vawda, Adviser to PM on Commerce Razaq Dawood, Adviser to PM on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Adviser to PM on Institutional Reforms Ishrat Hussain and Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Shabbar Zaidi.
