An accountability court extended on Monday the physical remand of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faryal Talpur in a case pertaining to money laundering through fake accounts case.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presented the PPP leader before the court amid high security as her physical remand ended today. During the hearing today, NAB prosecutor requested the court for extension in Talpur's physical remand.

The prosecutor told the court that the bureau could not investigate as Talpur is a member of the Sindh Assembly and has been attending the assembly session on production orders.

The court accepted NAB's requested and extended the physical remand of Talpur till July 22, local media reported. The PPP leader was arrested on June 14 after which her residence in Islamabad’s F-8 was declared a sub-jail.

Meanwhile, PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari interacted with the media and failed to reply to a question regarding the ongoing alleged video proof by Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz against Judge Arshad Malik.  The PPP leader told the media that he 'has nothing to say' regarding the statement made by Judge Arshad in his defence.
