Talking to a private news channel, he said holding an APC was an old practice of political parties, particularly those in the opposition, to make a hue and cry, and make themselves relevant politically.

The special assistant said the opposition parties had differences on several issues. How they could harm the government as they themselves were divided and could not settle their differences, he added.

The government, he said, had the required number of National Assembly to easily pass the budget, which would be sailed through on Saturday.

Naeem said holding peaceful protest was the right of opposition. However, in case of any unconstitutional step was taken by them to disturb the country's peace, the law would take its own course.

He said the opposition parties should better play politics for public welfare as their irrational attitude spoiling the political environment, which was the main hurdle in addressing the national issues.

He said both PML-N's Maryam Nawaz and PPP's Bilawal Bhutto were delivering hate speeches, which might be harmful for the country. The opposition parties should better play a positive role by helping steer the country out of the crises, he added.
