Dust-thunderstorm, rain amid isolated hailstorm to tap the federal capital

ISLAMABAD: Dust-thunderstorm and rain with isolated hailstorm is expected in the federal capital and at scattered places across the country.

According to Met Office, the current weather situation was due to the westerly wave affecting most parts of the country and likely to affect different parts of the country during the next 2 to 3 days.

The met office  forecast dust-thunderstorm and rain with isolated hailstorm expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G.Khan, Bahawalpur divisions), Islamabad, Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Makran, Sibbi, Naseerabad divisions), Sindh (Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi divisions), Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

The rainfall (mm) recorded during past 24 hours Kashmir: Kotli 26, Rawalakot 3, Garidupatta 2, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Malamjabba 15, Dir (Upper 10, Lower 7), Saidu Sharif 5, Bannu, D.I.Khan 4, Kakul 2, Peshawar 01, Punjab:  Islamabad (ZP 14, Golra 4, Bokra, Saidpur, AP 03), Bhakkar 11, Narowal 10, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 7, Chaklala 4), Murree, Gujrat, Mangla 4, Lahore 2, Sialkot, Jhelum, Noorpurthal, Jhang, M.B.Din, Gujranwala 1, Balochistan: Kalat 6, Zhob 5, Khuzdar 2, Sindh: Larkana 4, Moenjodaro 2.

The highest maximum temperatures recorded were at Shaheed Benazirabad, Sakrand 44°C, Mirpurkhas 42°C & Chhor 41°C.
