The Lahore High Court granted on Wednesday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan bail in a case pertaining to assets beyond known source of income.

During the hearing today, the bench announced its verdict after hearing arguments from both sides. The LHC accepted the PTI leader's bail petition which was filed by Khan's lawyer Ali Zafar. The court ordered Khan to submit surety bonds of Rs1 million, local media reported.

On February 6, NAB arrested the former Punjab’s Minister for local government and community development in the assets beyond known source of income case. Following his arrest, the PTI leader had resigned from his post as the minister. The bureau accused Khan of having offshore companies in the UK and UAE.
