ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was informed on Monday that no loadshedding is being carried out on 8790 feeders across the country during Sehr and Iftar timing.

Responding to a calling attention notice moved by Ali Nawaz Khan, Minister for Power Omar Ayub told the house that it is the first time in the last ten years that no loadshedding is being carried out during Ramazan.

He said credit for this goes to the PTI government for delivering and bringing efficiency in the electricity system. Omar Ayub said there is backlog of 1.5 million gas connections and we want to address this issue.

A constitution (Amendment) Bill was laid before the House relating to the constitution of South Punjab Province. It was moved by Makhdoom Syed Sami-ul-Hassan Gillani.

The House also adopted a motion authorizing the speaker to form a Special Committee comprising of treasury and opposition benches to examine this amendment bill.
