Sincere efforts being made to take country out of economic crisis: Rashid

LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said sincere efforts are being made and the country  will be taken out of economic crisis in two years.

He said this while addressing a press conference at a local hotel on Sunday.

The National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) would not be given to corrupt people whatever the circumstance might be, he maintained. He said economic crisis in the country was created by Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.

The minister said those,who were making hue and cry,  would have to face accountability.

He said: "One or two years are difficult and we are standing by Prime Minister Imran Khan."

Sheikh Rashid said the US elections were near and  election was in progress in India as well, and in such  circumstances there was a need for stabilised politics  in the country.

Responding to a question about presidential form of government, he said the parliamentary form of government should continue in the country.

To another question about Chaudhry Nisar, Sheikh Rashid said he was active in the PML-N.

He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government  would complete five years of its tenure and the PML-N would  face tough time.

He said with the grace of Allah Almighty Main Line-1 project would definitely be a great breakthrough for the  railways.
