Prime Minister Imran Khan concludes official visit to China

Prime Minister Imran Khan concluded on Monday his four-day official trip to China on the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

The premier attended the 2nd Belt and Road Forum (BRF) and the opening ceremony of International Horticulture Exhibition during his visit in Beijing. The prime minister also separately met President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang on April 28.

According to a press release by Foreign Office,"On the sidelines of the BRF, the the premier had meetings and interactions with other world leaders including from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Malaysia, Ethiopia and Kyrghyz Republic."

He also held meetings with Managing Director of IMF and the CEO of the World Bank as well as corporate and business representatives attending the BRF, the FP press release added.

The press release further said that PM Khan also held meetings with Vice President Wang Qishan. During these meetings, the two sides reviewed the entire range of bilateral relations including China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The two sides reaffirmed the resolve to further strengthen the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership in all dimensions.

The premier was accompanied by a high-powered ministerial delegation which included the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Khusro Bakhtiar Minister for Energy, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid and Advisors on Commerce and Finance.
