National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal cancelled on Monday the summons issued for Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif's wife and daughters.

The NAB chairman cancelled the summon notices during his visit to NAB Lahore office, local media reported. According to a notification issued by NAB,  the chairman said that the female members will be given questionnaires to fill. The bureau chairman will also personally supervise all the cases against the Sharif family. 'The decision to cancel the summons proves that NAB firmly believes in respect for women', the statement further said.

On Saturday, the bureau had summoned all the family members of Sharif in a case of owing assets beyond source of income. The PML-N president’s wife Nusrat Shehbaz,  was summoned to appear on April 17 whereas his daughters were summoned to appear on April 18 and April 19 respectively.
