‘Plea bargain is easy way out for you’: Fawad Chaudhry advises Nawaz Sharif

Pondering on why Nawaz Sharif has still not being admitted to hospital despite his release from jail over his medical condition, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Saturday that the deposed prime minister should just take the easy way out through plea bargain.

The information minister took to his Twitter handle and said that it was fourth day since the ex-prime minister had been released from jail. He wondered whether the three-time former premier had requested a bail plea just to get out of jail or was he waiting for the last week to get admitted to a hospital for medical treatment.

The minister reiterated that Sharif should admit that it was his money and not his sons' Hassan and Hussian Nawaz's. "I advise you again...the easy way out is plea bargain. It is not your sons' money but yours," Chaudhry added.

Chaudhry further said that the nation had given respect to the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader by making him prime minister for three times and he should return 'their' money.

The Islamabad High Court accepted the bail petition on March 26 of the incarcerated Sharif on medical grounds in the Al-Azizia case. The IHC  allowed Sharif's release for six weeks. The top court also ruled that Sharif will have to surrender after six weeks.
