ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza Monday warned that she would expose the financial misdeeds of leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party and prove charges against them with proofs and documents.

Speaking in the National Assembly, she said opposition should be asked who looted the Sindh Bank and Summit Bank, because of which they were now facing references.

The minister categorically stated that she never took loans amounting to Rs 280 million from a bank, adding, she could swear on oath that she never took any loan and the allegations against her were not true and the State Bank report supported her assertion.

She recalled that his father Qazi Abdul Majeed won the non party election in 1960s against the sitting minister for defence Ali Ahmed Talpur while Justice ® Zafar Hussain Mirza of her family was appreciated in a full court reference of Supreme Court because of the verdicts announced by him.

The minister was responding to PPP MNA Munawar Ali Talpur who made personal comments about her and alleged that she had an unpaid loan amounting to millions.

In an emotionally charged speech, the minister said the house was not about discussion on personal matters, but she wanted to remind that her family was attacked in the premises of Sindh High Court, which also took up notice of the matter and media covered the incidents in which masked men became violent against them.

She blamed PPP leader Faryal Talpur for issuing instructions that led to attacks on her house and 32 cases of terrorism were registered against her family.

PPP MNA Munawar Talpur criticized NAB for the manner in which it arrested Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani.

He said some people barged into the house of Speaker Siraj Durrani, harassed his family and kept his wife and children hostage for almost seven hours.

He wondered what kind of democracy it was and pointed to a video that went viral on social media and gave a hint about the arrest of Speaker Sindh Assembly beforehand.

He said his party supported across the board accountability but injustice should not be done to anybody.
