Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Wednesday that Pakistan has been ranked second best globally in the Government Mobile App competition held at World Government Summit.

The premier took to his Twitter and shared how the mobile app complaint cell has been a success in helping citizens out. "Creating a direct link with the people to provide for resolution of their problems has led to the incredible success of my complaint cell in the Prime Minister Office," he wrote.

The competition was held at the World Government Summit in Dubai where 87 countries participated in the best app competition. It is the first time that any government owned application has achieved this title. Pakistan has beaten the United States who ranks 3rd in the list, while Indonesia has been ranked at the first place.

The prime minister also shared details about the portal and the achievements so far. The app, which was launched by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government in October last year, has resolved 250,000 complaints out of 420,000 complaints received. The public has responded with 55 percent satisfactory feedback.
