Lahore Commissioner removed

The Punjab government on Saturday removed District Commissioner Lahore Saleha Saeed and replaced her with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Asghar. As per the notification issued by Punjab Services and General Administration Department (S&GD), Saeed is made OSD (Official on Special Duty) and is asked to report the S&GD immediately.
Muhammad Asghar is already serving in the capacity of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) in the DC Lahore office and he has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of DC Lahore till further orders.
According to sources, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was unhappy with the performance of Saleha Saeed over the recent outbreak dengue virus in the provincial capital. "She is held responsible for failing to carry out an effective anti-dengue campaign, a large number of dengue cases have surfaced in the city," they added.
