Ulema's role in maintaining peace lauded

The delegation of Ittehad Bain ul Muslimeen Committee Punjab headed by provincial Khateeb Auqaf department Molana Ghulam Mustafa Saqib, held meeting with District Peace Committees of four districts of Faisalabad division at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium. Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saif Ullhah Dogar, CPO Azhar Akram, DPOs Atta ur Rehman, Waqar Ahmad, Syed Hussain Haider, Additional Commissioner Rai Wajid Ali, SSP (Operation) Syed Ali Raza, ADCG Mian Aftab Ahmad, Zonal Administrative Auqaf Ayyaz Mehmud Lashari, Zonal Khateeb Moulana Fateh Muhammad Rashdi and other officers were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, provincial Khateeb Auqaf appreciated the positive
response and strong sentiments of Ulema regarding maintaining religious harmony for durable peace and tranquillity.
RPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar thanked Ulema for extending excellent cooperation with regards to maintaining peaceful environment and stressed upon disseminating the message of love and unity at grassroots level for peaceful observance of Muharram.
Sahibzada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi highlighted the dire need of religious harmony and maintaining peace for the safety and survival of Pakistan. Member of peace committees Arshad Abidi, Zia Ur Rehman Farooqi also spoke on the occasion.
