Traffic rules: ICTP, RME sign MoU to create awareness among students

An Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) and 'Roots Millennium Education' (RME) here on Wednesday to create awareness among the young students about the traffic rules, road safety and community service programmes in the country.
The main objective of this MoU is to encourage building positive, strategic and active citizenship based relationship between both the organisations and guides the students of Roots Millennium Education towards inclusive education.
Both the organisations mutually agreed to enhance cooperation in many areas including arranging self-defence workshops for Millennials, mutually arranged drug awareness campaigns, participating in solidarity walks for Kashmiris, internships, road safety orientations and working with the young police in social awareness and community service programmes.
Both parties also agreed that Roots Millennium Education will give discounts to the children of ICTP members, especially to the children of ICTP martyrs.
Speaking on the Occasion, Chief Executive Roots Millennium Education Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq TI explained his vision of long-term involvement of Millennials to become more successful learners, confident individuals, and effective contributors and make them more responsible citizens. He explained that Roots Millennium Education has gained national recognition for taking beyond the classroom learning initiatives.
Whereas, Inspector General of Police IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan emphasized on the need of educational institutes and police working together for the betterment of society.
