No room for talks & trade with India: Ch Akram

26 Aug, 2019

Chairman Task Force on Price Control Ch. Muhammad Akram has said that there is no room for dialogues and trade with India until Kashmir issue is not resolved. He was addressing a press conference in connection with inflation and price control, here on Sunday.
Ch Muhammad Akram said that despite of being an agricultural country we had to import tomatoes, onions, potatoes etc. from India. It is all because of weak agricultural policies of previous government. He said that Punjab government is taking growers, whole sellers and retailers on board to control price-hike. Chairman Task Force told that a non-controversial list would be issued after deliberations and reviewing the current prices of eatables. He told that strict action would be taken against those who will not follow the revised rate list.
Ch Muhammad Akram urged that media will have to play its role in creating awareness among the people about the importance of rate lists. He said that inflation cannot be controlled unless people enquire themselves about the rate lists from sellers or shopkeepers.
