Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (PM) on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Monday the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have once again tricked Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman.
Dr Awan took to Twitter, and stated that Rehman has been double-crossed by his political affiliates in what she termed as "a new episode of 'let's do politics together'".
"The All-Parties Conference (APC) has been dodged on Shahbaz Sharif's backache and Bilawal's tour [...] how those who can't speak truth with each other speak truth with the nation?" she asked.
"Hazrat Maulana's agenda is something else whereas agenda of paisa bachao parties is different," she said while urging Rehman to raise voice for oppressed people of Kashmir.
"These worthless people will not function Maulana (...) leave them and strive for the cause of Kashmir," she added.
Earlier, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says the PTI government saved the country from bankruptcy.
Talking to a private television channel on Monday morning, she said the government was focusing on austerity measures and the wealth creation through industrialization. Dr Firdous said the industrialization would help reduce economic woes of the masses.
On the accountability front, the Special Assistant said the NAB (National Accountability Bureau) recovered 30 billion rupees during the last one year from corrupt elements. Responding to a question, Firdous Ashiq Awan said a format had been evolved to gauge the performance of every ministry. She said every ministry would present its performance before the Prime Minister and the masses.
