Babar urges NAB to make accountability of all and sundry

Secretary General Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Farhatullah Babar has said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should make accountability of all the people, including politicians, judges and generals, who get salaries from the national exchequer. Farhatullah Babar said this while addressing a news conference after cutting the birthday cake of Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari here on Friday. PPP leaders Naveed Chaudhry, Aamir Fida Paracha and others, besides party workers, were present on this occasion.
Babar said that the party also demands new free and fair general election in the country for real representation of the people. "The people have rejected selected Prime Minister and general election 2018 by observing 'Black Day' across the country on Thursday," he claimed.
The PPP secretary general while paying tributes to Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has started political victimisation in the name of accountability. He said that the PTI government has started drama of accountability to change the political scenario and divert the attention of the people and media form the issue of price hike and worst economic situation. He said that lives of the people are in miserable condition due to price hike and imposition of new taxes.
He said, "900,000 people have become unemployed and inflation has increased by 38 percent during the one year of the PTI government." Babar said that accountability should be made of all those people who get salaries from the national exchequer. He said that democracy cannot be strengthen without accountability but the PPP rejects this so-called accountability which is only political victimisation.
About no-confidence motion against the Senate Chairman, he said that the joint opposition would succeed in electing its own chairman Senate. Answering a question, he said that PPP would soon make public a white paper about the PTI government and general election 2018. He claimed that 95 percent Form-45 without having signatures of polling agents were put on the website of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
