PTI urges PPP to withdraw no-trust motion

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday contacted Pakistan People's Party (PPP) with a view to successfully persuading it to withdraw the no-confidence motion submitted against Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, it is learnt. According to sources, Leader of House in the Senate Syed Shibli Faraz contacted PPP leaders on cell phone and sought to hold a meeting with Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the matter of vote of no-confidence against the chairman Senate.
In previous days, Syed Shibli Faraz also held meetings with Leader of Opposition in the Senate Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq and PPP Parliamentary Leader in the Senate Senator Sherry Rehman for withdrawal of the no-confidence motion. However, the sources said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is not in a mood to hold a meeting with Shibli Faraz or any other PTI government member on the matter of motion of no-confidence against the chairman Senate. In a related development, Sanjrani called on the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Raja Zafar-ul-Haq.
