Fawad claims to bring 'change' in Sindh if PM allows

Minster of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry Monday said if Prime Minister Imran Khan gives permission, 'change' in the Sindh government can be brought within 48 hours. Speaking at a function here, Chaudhry said he is thrilled that Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari had been arrested in another case, as he was the man behind 'destruction' of Sindh, as the development funds given to the province were spent somewhere else due to corrupt rulers.
"The federal government has so far given Rs 900 billion to Sindh but the amount was never spent in Sindh and it is being sent either to Dubai or London," he claimed.
He said there were some Baloch chieftains who were also into the same business as their sole priority was to fill their coffers at the cost of taxpayers' money.
"We feel ashamed when these people talk about [people] rights and uplift of the area...the population of Balochistan is hardly that the size of Rawalpindi division but the amount sent there is huge but it was never spent there," he regretted.
Despite all these facts, he continued, those tribal chieftains kept shedding crocodile tears that they were not getting any fund, which should be probed into as where they spent billions of rupees being given to them from respective governments.
He said in the past, "we built Islamabad, Mangla and Tarbella dams, motorways, naval bases, besides raising sixth largest army in the world and making the country a nuclear power out of Rs 6 trillion loans," but where those rulers spent Rs 24 trillion which they borrowed in last 10 years.
"No one among those who remained the rulers of the country during the last 10 years will be seen outside but they all will be in jails now," he declared.
