Speaker issues production orders of Zardari, Sa'ad Rafiq

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar on Wednesday late night issued production orders of Pakistan Peoples Party Co-Chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq.
According to the sources, both Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) today (Thursday) would attended the session of the National Assembly.
They said that PPP and PML-N leaders received separately the copies of production orders of Asif Ali Zardari and Khawaja Saad Rafiq.
According to handout issued by National Assembly Secretariat, the Speaker National Assembly has issued production orders of Asif Ali Zardari and Khawaja Saad Rafiq under rule 108 of procedure and conduct of business of National Assembly 2007.
The PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the fake bank accounts case on June 10 after Islamabad High Court rejected his plea, seeking an extension in their interim bail in the fake bank accounts case.
The case pertains to transactions worth hundreds of millions of rupees to the two leaders' private companies, allegedly, through fake bank accounts.
Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said while talking to media that the production order was issued for the ongoing budget session expected to last till June 29. "Zardari will be present in the assembly tomorrow (Thursday)," he said. "Better late than never." The PPP leaders Abdul Qadir Patel, Shazia Marri, Shagufta Jumani, Agha Rafiq have received the copy of production order.
