ANP chief terms budget anti-people, rich-friendly

ANP president Asfandyar Wali Khan has rejected the federal budget and termed it anti-people, anti-worker and rich-friendly, saying they were expecting the same budget from current government. In his comments on the federal budget for FY 2019-20, he said the poor eradication policies have increased the miseries of the deprived class and granted relief to rich. He said the budget totally prepared by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and people have been targeted once again. He said due to high prices meat, chickens, pulses and vegetables have become out of the access of common people.
The ANP chief said increased dependence on indirect taxes has overburden the deprived and middle class. The rulers, he said neither have resources nor policies and have increased the size of begging bowl that would trigger the suicides in country. Asfandyar Wali further said the budget lacks any kind of solid plan for provisions of roti, health, education and getting rid from foreign debts.
