Trauma center to be set up in Gilgit-Baltistan: Dr Yasmin

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has announced to set up a trauma center in Gilgit-Baltistan. According to a Ministry's spokesperson here on Monday, this was announced by her during her visit to Gilgit-Baltistan on the invitation of Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain. On the occasion, the Minister said that the Punjab government will soon initiate work for setting up of a state-of-the-art trauma centre in Gilgit-Baltistan. The Punjab Health Department has determined to further cooperate with Gilgit-Baltistan government in different health sector programme, she added.
She said that trauma center will prove to be highly efficient for providing first aid to the injured in case of emergency in Gilgit-Baltistan. She said that best treatment facilities should be made available to the thousands of tourists. "Best treatment facilities will be provided in trauma center set up with the cooperation of Punjab government," she added.
The Gilgit-Baltisitan Governor thanked the Dr Yasmin Rashid for providing assistance in Health Sector. He said that Dr Yasmeen Rashid is playing vital role for improving the condition of public sector hospitals.
It is worth mentioning that the Punjab Health Department, on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, has recently donated 11 ambulances, 25 dialysis machines, eight reverse units, four digital videography machines, four colour Doppler, two mammography machines, nine X-ray machines, nine X-ray film processor, seven automatic Elisa, nine automatic chemistry analyser, 22 dental units, three OPG machines, seven bio-chemistry analyzers, four C-Arms, three cardiac monitors and 70 cardiac beds.
