Cabinet may approve Hajj policy tomorrow

A meeting of the federal cabinet will discuss and may approve tomorrow (Monday) the Hajj Policy and Plan 2019 of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony. The federal cabinet meeting to be presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan will also consider a proposal of the Interior Division seeking change of business/visit visa of Chinese nationals into work visa.
The meeting convened with 12-point agenda items would also be taken into confidence by the Prime Minister about his visit to Saudi Arabia, meeting with Saudi Crown Prince as well as about OIC meeting in Makkah. Sources said that agenda items of the federal cabinet also include: (i) proposal of Aviation Division for cancellation of regular public transport (RPT) licence of Askari Air (PVT) Ltd; (ii) appointment of Atiq Ahmed as Secretary Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad on deputation basis and; (iii) approval of Management & Treasury Single Account Policy 2019-2029. A proposal of Human Right Division with regard to establishment of National Commission on the Rights of the Child, Interior Division's proposal for extradition of Pakistani national Islam Muhammad s/o Haji Paizar Khan and briefing to Cabinet on progress on visa liberalisation regime - revision of visa fee - are also on the agenda of the federal cabinet meeting.
Other agenda items of the Cabinet meeting included approval for appointment of judge Special Court (Anti-Terrorism-I), Islamabad, appointment of chairpersons and member in the Insurance Tribunal Lahore and Islamabad, and annual report/post election review 2018 of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs Division. The federal cabinet will also consider a proposal of Privatisation Division for effective marketing/communication plan for disposal of available properties.
