PPP decides to launch protest against PTI government's policies

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to launch a protest in and outside of the Parliament House against the policies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. The decision was taken in the PPP Core Committee meeting, which was held in the chair of party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari here at Zardari House on Friday. PPP leaders Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Raja Pervaz Ashraf, Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Farhatullah Babar, Chaudhry Manzoor, Rehman Malik, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and others were present in the meeting.
The core committee discussed the overall political situation of the country. After the meeting, PPP leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said that the party would start protest against the policies of the PTI government. They said that the increasing value of dollar day by day is very concerning situation. They said that the foreign debt is increasing billion of rupees day by day due to increasing value of dollar.
They said that the PTI government may increase the prices of electricity and gas before presenting the budget for the next financial year 2019-20. Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari said that the value of dollar against rupee has increased to Rs 152. He said this has vindicated the stance of the PPP that the PTI government is implementing the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He said that dollar is missing from the market.
He said that life of the people is in miserable conditions due to increasing inflation in the country. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has neither any economic strategy nor does he know about the governance.
Meanwhile, a parliamentary board headed by Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the award of party tickets to candidates for provincial assembly elections in KPK has been constituted with following as members; Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Farhatullah Babar, Hamayoun Khan, Faisal Karim Kundi, Syed Akhunzada Chattan, Sajid Turi and Azam Afridi. A notification in this regard has been issued.
