Three persons got injured while offering resistance to a robbery bid, while in separate incidents police claimed to have arrested three accused after an exchange of firing here on Sunday. Officials at Sukhan police station said three persons identified as Muhammad Shahid son of Muhammad Hashim, Aqib son of Saleem Akhtar and Kashif son of Abdul Rauf got injured during dacoity resistance at Iftikharia General Store near Akbar Shaheed Chowk, Babul Harmain Masjid. They were moved to nearby hospital for medical aid.
Meanwhile, PS Pakistan Bazaar police said an encounter took place between law enforcers and alleged dacoits at Bhens Colony near Soda Factory. The police, after an exchange of fire, arrested three accused and sent them to undisclosed location for interrogations. The under arrest accused were identified as Saeed Alam, M Atiq and Muhammad Farhan. Police also claimed to have recovered 3 TT pistols with 10 rounds & cash Rs 45,000 during the course of action.
