The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested four terrorists of banned outfit, Tehreek-e-Taliaban Pakistan (TTP) and recovered arms, explosives, maps of sensitive installations and photos of important personalities here on Friday. The CTD sources said that on a tip-off regarding presence of presence of extremists, operation was conducted near Bahawalpur Bypass in Multan. During operation, four terrorists of defunct organization TTP identified as Fazal, Aslam Khan, Gul Rehman and Basit Ali were arrested.
Arms, explosives, maps of sensitive installations and photos of important personalities were recovered from possession of the detainees. The CTD sources said that the detained terrorists were planning terrorist attack which was foiled and they were shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation and important revelations were expected.
