Modi's victory in the polls: PPP for formation of JIT on PM's statement

11 Apr, 2019

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has said that a joint investigation team (JIT) should be constituted to probe into Prime Minister Imran Khan's statement regarding victory of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party BJP in the upcoming elections.
"Prime Minster Imran Khan says that there may be a better chance of peace talks with India to settle the Kashmir issue if Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party BJP wins the general elections. Narendra Modi is murderer of many Muslims of Gujrat in India. All the Muslims of the world would not wish Modi to be elected again as Indian prime minister. Modi is danger for the peace of this region but Imran Khan wants his re-election as Indian Prime Minister," PPP Deputy Information Secretary Palwasha Behram Khan expressed these views in a news conference on Wednesday.
She said that on one side Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said says Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants aggression with Pakistan but the other hand Prime Minster says that Modi should be re-elected. She said that such a statement can give Modi support and Prime Minister of Pakistan should not say this.
She also claimed that the 'selected' Prime Minister also said while giving interview a group of foreign journalists that "Pakistan Military created militant groups. Such a statement is more dangerous than Dawn Leaks."
"I demand the relevant institutions and family of martyred people to find out who is behind this statement. A JIT should also be formed to investigate this matter," she said. The PPP also claimed that Finance Division usurped Rs 28 billion of workers of Benazir Employees Stock Option Scheme which offers 12 percent share in public sector enterprises to their employees.
"The PPP government had approved 12 percent share in public sector enterprises for their employees under Benazir Employees Stock Option Scheme. Ministry of Finance has proposed winding up of Benazir Employees Stock Option Scheme (BESOS) launched in 2009 by the PPP government and taking control of Rs 28 billion lying in Employees Empowerment Trusts (EETs)," she said.
The PPP leader said that it is a dacoity on the right of workers, labourers and the poor. She said that the workers would stand for their rights. The PPP always takes stand for the rights of the workers, she said.
