MQM-P criticises PPP for opposing Hyderabad University

07 Apr, 2019

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has accused Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), ruling party in Sindh, of being "biased" towards urban Sindh by opposing the establishment of Hyderabad University. The establishment of university in Hyderabad was announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan few days back. MQM-P Spokesman on Friday said that PPP leaders are turning restless since the announcement of establishment of university in Hyderabad.
MQM-P said that PPP leaders are now finding faults in a party (MQM-P), whose help they sought several times in the past by reaching at its doorsteps.
Referring to statement of Sindh Education Minister, who said, 'Hyderabad University would be established over my dead body,' MQM-P said that such a statement is anti-education on all accounts.
MQM-P appealed to literate Sindhi speaking segments in the province to become active in closing the chapter of PPP, which is anti-education and anti-urban Sindh party.
MQM-P also singled out PPP as the only political party in the world, which is opposing the establishment of education institution rather than contributing positively in this regard.
MQM-P also invited Sindhi intelligentsia to differentiate as who is sowing the seeds of division in the province.
