Two killed, eight crime cases registered in Islamabad

Armed robbers struck at nine different places in the federal capital and killed two innocent people during the last week, exposing tall claims of police of putting stringent security arrangements in the city.
According to data gathered by Business Recorder here on Saturday, different police stations of the city registered eight cases of various kinds of theft, nine cases of carjacking, four cases of murder and three cases of kidnapping during the last week. The most "favourite" areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Koral, Industrial Area, Aabpara and Khanna police stations.
During the aforementioned period, two armed robbers including Ali Bangash broke into an arms shop and killed arms dealer Pervaiz Khan and his friend Bilal Khan in the limits of Koral police station. Armed robbers looted weapons from the shop and escaped in a Mehran car. Later robbers met an accident and then they snatched a Toyota Corolla car but they were stopped by bank security guards at the market. The armed men fired at the guards, who retaliated and as a result one of the robbers was killed and another got injured.
One Saeed Akbar informed Koral police station that the unidentified persons kidnapped his brother Sher Afzal. Industrial Area police station registered two cases each of robbery and motor vehicle theft. One Nisar Hussain filed a complaint with Industrial Area police station that unidentified robbers stole cash, a laptop and other valuables from his house.
In another incident, a citizen Mubeen Abbasi informed Industrial Area police station that unknown robbers stole gold ornaments and registration book from his car. The auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number LZO-625 of a citizen namely Ghulam Hussain and lifted a bike (RIQ-1082) of Michael Jan from the jurisdiction of Industrial Area police station.
