'Speed money'

07 Apr, 2019

I was amused to read Farooq Hassan's article 'Speed Money' in Business Recorder, April 5, wherein he mentions me rather gratuitously. It is easy to guess whose propaganda objective he is hoping to serve when he fails to mention the one intelligence service that was most linked to BCCI while linking it to every other.
He describes me as a 'street urchin from Martin Quarters.' I have no problem with epithets as they tell more about the labeler than the labeled. But for information of the former Executive Director of the Management Association of Pakistan, I never lived or worked in Karachi's Martin Quarters neighborhood nor have I ever been associated (even in the many false rumors about me) with it.
If Farooq Hassan can't even get his dismissive remarks right, how can he be relied on for accuracy in any other way? Why is he being published in a newspaper like Business Recorder?
