First shelter home to be completed by June in Faisalabad

The first shelter home in the city is being constructed at General Bus Stand on available 4.3 kanals land for temporary accommodation of the passengers and other shelter less persons. This shelter home would be completed by the month of June having capacity of staying 350 persons including men and women with separate portions.
The necessary facilities including bedding, drinking water, toilets, electricity and other basic amenities would be available for the inmates in this shelter home. Divisional Commissioner Mehmud Javed Bhatti and Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar jointly visited the site to review the pace of construction work.
AC City Shumaila Manzur, Admin Officer/Administrator General Bus Stand Riaz Anjum, Asst. Administrator Rana Habib Ullah, Director Operation Madina Group Rana Saeed Ahmad and others were present on the occasion. The Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner reviewed the plan and design of the shelter home and said the future requirements should be kept in view in the building structure according to the winter and summer seasons.
They said technical aspects should also be followed for completing the structure of shelter house for the comfort of inmates and urged upon selecting suitable place for the construction of toilets for the proper disposal of sewerage water. The Divisional Commissioner said the establishment of shelter home for the homeless and transit passengers was a significant welfare step of Prime Minister Imran Khan and this mission would be completed by the help of philanthropists and affluent persons.
Deputy Commissioner informed that the welfare project was being forwarded and different sites had been identified to establish the shelter home in the city. He revealed that second shelter home would be established at available site in Allied Hospital for the accommodations of patients' relatives come from other cities.
