Revenue collection: MCC Islamabad witness 14 percent growth

Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Islamabad has witnessed 14 percent growth during July-March period. According to details, both stations of MCC, Islamabad - International Airfreight Unit and Dry Port have achieved their respective targets.
During the month of March 2019, MCC Islamabad has surpassed its assigned target of Rs 752 million and collected customs duty more than Rs 760 million. Similarly, an amount of Rs 890 million was collected against the assigned target of Rs 796 million under the head of sales tax.
Needless to mention, this was third consecutive quarter in which MCC, Islamabad has surpassed its revenue target by collecting customs duty amounting to Rs 5904.9 million as against the target of Rs 5685 million. Similarly, under the head of sales tax, an amount of Rs 7932.3 million was collected as against the target of Rs 6385 million.
Furthermore, the Collectorate has surpassed its revenue target of Rs 15638 million for total duty and taxes by Rs 2216.17 million and collected Rs17854.2 million, depicting 14 percent growth. Collector Seema Raza Bokhan has expressed confidence that they would continue striving for such successes in future as well.
